IMMIGRATION
Thank you to everyone who took part in our IMMIGRATION CHANGE survey. Every response helps us better understand the views and priorities of the public.
The message is clear: the people do not want mass immigration.
They were never asked.
They do not support the drive toward a population of 100,000 people on our Island.
They believe current immigration levels should be stopped — and reversed.
The results also show deep concern about pressure on healthcare, housing, schools and public services, and a growing feeling that ordinary local people are being ignored while major changes are pushed forward without a clear public mandate.
This survey was designed to ask direct questions on issues that many people feel are not being openly discussed, despite their impact on everyday Island life.
This is precisely why accountability matters.
If politicians are willing to pursue major changes to our Island without a clear public mandate today, what will they attempt next time without the consent of the people?
