Abandon Net Zero
CHANGE will abandon the current Net Zero direction and review the targets, policies and costs built around it.
- No new burdens on households or businesses simply to meet political carbon targets.
- Review existing policies for cost, effectiveness and public benefit.
- Energy policy must serve the Island — not the target.
No Onshore Wind Farms
CHANGE will not support industrial-scale wind farms on the Isle of Man.
- Protect our countryside, communities and landscape.
- No major wind development without a clear public mandate.

No Offshore Wind Farms
CHANGE will oppose wind-farm development in Manx territorial waters.
- Manx waters are a strategic national asset.
- Any use of them must deliver a clear and substantial benefit to the Manx people.
- CHANGE will not support offshore wind farms.
End Green Levies
Energy bills should not be inflated by policy costs imposed primarily to pursue environmental targets.
- Review green charges, levies and policy-driven additions to energy bills.
- Remove costs that cannot demonstrate a clear benefit to the Island.
- Affordable energy comes first.
Consider the Manx Gas Field
The potential Manx gas resource should be properly assessed rather than ruled out for political reasons.
- Commission an independent assessment of recoverable reserves and extraction costs.
- Assess energy-security, economic, technical and environmental implications.
- If commercially viable, the Isle of Man must receive a substantial share of the benefit.
Drive Down Electricity Costs
Electricity policy should aim for reliable supply at the lowest sustainable cost to households and businesses.
- Review generation, financing, infrastructure, administration and policy costs.
- Identify unnecessary overheads and remove avoidable cost from the system.
- Put affordability and reliability ahead of political fashion.
Investigate Modern Nuclear
CHANGE will investigate whether modern nuclear technology, including Small Modular Reactors, could form part of the Island's long-term energy future.
- Examine cost, safety, siting, regulation, waste, financing and security of supply.
- No commitment until the Island has properly examined the evidence.
- Reliable technologies should not be ruled out simply because they do not fit the current political direction.
