(CHANGE)
A Better Future for the Isle of Man
Clear policies. Direct accountability. Public services that deliver. CHANGE will put the people of our Island first and make government answer for results.
WHAT WE WILL DO
What CHANGE Will Do First
- Abolish the Council of Ministers
- Restore direct ministerial responsibility and accountability
- Replace unelected MLCs with a People’s House
- Create One Government under One Legal Authority
- Civil servants advise. Elected Ministers decide.
- Replace Manx Care with a dual healthcare system
- End mass immigration and government-driven population growth
- Oppose all onshore and offshore wind farms
What CHANGE Will Deliver
Our policies are built around clear commitments, measurable outcomes and direct accountability. The focus is no longer simply what has gone wrong — it is what CHANGE will do differently.
01
Reform of Government
A more accountable Government. Abolish the Council of Ministers and unelected MLCs, make Ministers individually responsible, and return decision-making to the people we elect.
02
The Healthcare Charter
Clear access standards, faster treatment and an administration that supports clinical care rather than controlling it.
03
End Mass Immigration
End government-driven population growth and introduce a controlled system based on the Island’s real needs.
04
Homes for Local People.
Put local people first. Build genuinely affordable homes, support young workers onto the housing ladder, and make developers deliver homes rather than payments.
05
A Stronger Economy
Increase the personal allowance when public finances permit, reduce travel and freight costs, support Manx enterprise.
Education for Life
Restore high standards in reading, writing and maths, value practical and vocational skills, support teachers and maintain discipline in every school.
07
Older People
Support independence, dignity and security in later life, with better access to healthcare, care at home, suitable housing and services that remain accessible to everyone.
08
Secure, Affordable Energy
Abandon Net Zero, reject onshore and offshore wind farms, end green levies, assess Manx gas, drive down electricity costs and investigate modern nuclear energy.
FUNDAMENTAL GOVERNMENT REFORM
Change the System, Not Just the People
Replacing one group of politicians with another will not be enough. CHANGE will fundamentally rebuild how the Isle of Man is governed, returning authority to elected representatives and accountability to the people.
01 — End the Council of Ministers
Abolish collective responsibility and the concentration of power within the Council of Ministers
02 — Replace unelected MLCs with a People’s House
The People’s House will give the public the power to challenge major legislation before it becomes law.
03 — Make every Minister directly accountable
Each Minister will have the authority to run their department and the personal duty to answer for its decisions and results.
04 — Civil servants will advise—not decide
Policy and political decisions will be made by elected representatives. Officials will provide professional advice and implement lawful decisions.
05 — Create one Government under one legal authority
End departments operating as separate empires and place the whole government beneath one clear legal and accountability structure.
06 — Independent constitutional protection
Create powerful independent oversight, protect whistleblowers and prevent departmental guidance from being treated as law.
